Welcome to SusanGross.com, the web home of Susan Gross: illustrator, designer and teacher. Susan Gross's work ranges from whimsical watercolors to rich, collage monotypes. This award-winning artist has illustrated many books, products, ad campaigns and journals such as Living on the Edge by Stephen Levine. Among the books featuring her artwork are: Heal Your Body A-Z, published by Hay House; Vanilla, published by Chronicle Books; and The Cultured Cocktail; published by Clarkson Potter.

She enjoys working in many different types of media including collage, found objects, printmaking, acrylic paints and textiles. Most recently Susan has been experimenting with paste paper, jewelry and digital enhancements of her monotypes.

Designing and illustrating for over 25 years, After 18 years in San Francisco, Susan is serenely thrilled to be amidst the apple trees and vineyards in the lovely Anderson Valley (2.5 hours north of San Francisco). Susan and her husband also operate the Boonville Art Barn, a wonderful community art space for classes, workshops, membership, and art events.

Susan has been up to lots more since she has been living out in the country, yes, she still loves to create logos and illustrate, but now she loves creating books and things and especially loves facilitating others in their creative growth. She currently teaches book arts, collage, printmaking and a creativity class at Mendocino College.
